Sehome Hill Arboretum Rules

​​​The Sehome Hill Arboretum is an area preserved in a natural state devoted to education, recreation, and research in accordance with sound ecological concepts.

Please observe the following rules:

  • Leashed dogs are allowed on paved trails. Please pick up pet waste and pack out or dispose in garbage cans. Please click here to learn more about our off-leash dog parks.
    • Leashing your dog is the law unless otherwise noted. Failure to leash when required may result in fines up to $250. Dog walkers are required to have leashes with them at all times and to have dogs under control. Please pick up all dog waste and drop it in the trash (BMC 7.08 & 8.04.)
  • Pack out garbage or use garbage receptacles
  • Motor vehicles, horses, or bicycles on trails are restricted to main roadway​

The following is prohibited:

  • Alcohol
  • Biking
  • Smoking or vaping
  • Removal or destruction of natural vegetation
  • Fires or fireworks
  • Overnight camping
  • Discharging of firearms
  • Feeding wildlife
  • Organized racing or other commercial activities without prior approval
