Waterfront District Planning Commission Process

The Planning Commission completed their review and considerations of the Draft Subarea Plan, Draft Development Regulations, Draft Design Standards and Draft Planned Action Ordinance on June 6, 2013 by approving 7-0 the Findings of Fact, Conclusions and Recommendations. The Findings recommend approval of the proposal, as amended, to the City Council.  

The Planning Commission worked through the Waterfront District proposal at 10 meetings:

  • Work Sessions - June 6, May 25, May 16, May 9th, April 25th, April 18th and April 11th
  • Public Hearings - March 28th and March 21st
  • Presentation - March 14th

These documents are made available for public review throughout the legislative process, though are not subject to Planning Commission review and recommendation. The City Council and Port Commission will consider these agreements concurrent with the legislative action required for the rest of the Waterfront District master plan documents.
