County line, Three Rivers
Preserve covers a 37-acre gently sloping parcel, crossed by three minor
drainage ravines and seasonal streams. Alder, cedar, salmonberry and other
native undergrowth create a forested area.
The preserve lies adjacent to ongoing logging and development. Special attention has been given to identify and post the known boundary
lines to reduce unauthorized ATV traffic. The stable site continues to
support a thriving deciduous forest capable of naturally filtering water
and offering a safe haven for wildlife.
Three Rivers Preserve is prominently located in Basin 3 where, aside from
some timber management and harvest, little conservation or land protection
exists. This Preserve will function as a model and foundation for future
preservation in the area.
