Interim Lynden Police Chief struck by vehicle, in critical condition

Chief Knapp being transported to Harborview for treatment of his injuries

​Today, November 5, 2019 at 5:15 pm there was a car versus pedestrian crash at Grover and 4th Streets in Lynden, Washington.  Interim Lynden Police Chief Michael Knapp was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle.  He is being flown to Harborview Medical Center where he is being treated for his injuries.   The accident scene is active and currently being investigated by the Washington State Patrol. Further information will be provided in the forthcoming days.
