Police are looking for any information regarding an incident that happened almost three years ago. On May 2, 2014 a Ferndale woman was horrifically attacked by an armed intruder.   The woman, who had her two small children in the house at the time, was bound with her hands behind her back.  The intruder then slit her throat and fired a handgun at her as she lay on the floor.  The intruder fled the residence in the victim's vehicle.

The female, who was left for dead, was able to get outside and was helped by a neighbor.  Police were able to locate the vehicle and the suspect nearby.  After a high speed chase with law enforcement, the suspect, Chad Horne took his own life inside the vehicle.

Horne's live in girlfriend, Lesley Villatoro, is currently serving a 40 year sentence for being an accomplice.  Detectives working the case still have some unanswered questions and are seeking information on the case.

Information can be left anonymously if preferred.  Please contact our tip line if you have any information regarding this case 14B-18738.  Your help is appreciated.
