Cordata Park

Cordata Park is one of Bellingham’s newest parks. The 25-acre parcel located on Cordata Parkway between Stuart and Horton Roads was acquired in March 2015.  

Phase One construction is complete. Phase One amenities include age-separated playgrounds, picnic areas, a large rentable picnic shelter, parkour, bike pump track, restroom, parking, trails, landscape planting, utility extension, security lighting, and irrigation.

Phase Two further increases the range of recreational opportunities to include: small picnic shelter and picnic area, pickleball courts, basketball court, park pavilion with public restrooms, covered outdoor stage, skate dot, covered swing, trail link to Horton Road, 50 car parking area, park benches, picnic tables, bike parking, park signage, landscape planting, wetland mitigation planting and utilities.

The construction of Phase Two improvements began May 2023, and are anticipated to be complete by the end of February 2024.

The trail link over Bear Creek between Cordata Park and Horton Road is complete and open for use. Enjoy.

The phase two improvements may be open to the public by the end of February 2024, depending on the weather.

Phase Two budget included funding for the 1% for Art Horton Road artwork project, which is active May 2021 through 2023. Click here for more information about the artwork to installed in the Horton Road roundabout.
