Lakeway and Lincoln Pedestrian-Bike Safety and Mobility

This project proposes to install street markings, hardscape improvements and signals to establish a bike boulevard in the Puget and York neighborhoods. The project will install 4 new High-Intensity CrossWalks (HAWK) signals and on rapid flashing beacon at 5 locations on Samish Way, Lincoln Street and Lakeway Drive. Also included in this work are new sidewalks, ramps, wayfinding, retaining walls and restoration work. 

The purpose is to  improve mobility and safety for pedestrians and cyclists through these neighborhoods and across key busy arterials.

 Status - March 2019

Accomplishments:  Lincoln and Grant HAWK signals are now active. Completing striping and channelization modifications.

Next Milestone:  Power supply to Undine St. Activate Orleans, Samish and Undine street signals. Finish traffic calming and striping.
