Cordata Safe Routes to School Program

​Project Overview:  ES-0531

The project includes bike lanes, sidewalks, planter strip, curb, gutter and streetlights.  The purpose is to provide the retrofit of Aldrich Road to provide access to all users, including bicyclists, pedestrians, motorists and public transportation riders.  In particular, to provide better access to the Cordata Elementary School.

 Funding from Transportation Improvement Board (TIB) for $500,000.  Federal Safe Route to School $103,000

Status - April 2019

Accomplishments:  Obtained permits, property rights and right of entry for all parcels. Project has been designed, permitted and bid. Construction is underway.

Next milestones:   Construction should be completed by the end of summer 2019
