12th and Mill Intersection Improvements

Project Overview:  ES-0522

Currently 12th/Finnegan/Mill is an overly wide and poorly aligned 5 legged intersection.  The project will remove the 12th Street leg of the intersection and create a new roadway section to the north to connect 12th to Finnegan Way.  The new roadway will include two lanes, curb and gutter, and a 5 foot wide sidewalk on both sides.  The 12th and Finnegan/Mill intersection will become safer and more functional.  Pedestrians will be more visible to drivers and pedestrian crossings will be shortened.  New sidewalks and pedestrian enhancements will allow safer and better access to the adjacent park and local businesses.

Funding from Transportation Improvement Board (TIB) for $300,000.  Transportation Benefit District (TBD) 2016.

Status-August 2017

Accomplishments:  Almost done.  Just need to finish landscaping and illumination pole.

Next Milestone:  Final Payment
