​Addressing Homelessness​Coordinate information and decision-making on City policy and procedure in regards to homelessness; establish and maintain relations with other local agencies to address homelessness and affordable housing.
Boards and Commissions Coordinate appointments and information about various City advisory boards and commissions.
Economic DevelopmentProvides support to new and existing businesses, and strategic economic development planning.
City Administration Provide overall City administration and direction to all city departments.
City Budget Submit a proposed budget to City Council.
City Council Liaison Coordinate information and decision-making, maintaining an effective working relationship with City Council.
Communications Coordinate City-wide news, public information and public involvement.
Government Relations Establish and maintain relations with local, state and federal officials and agencies.
Liquor and Cannabis Licenses Coordinate City review of Liquor and Cannabis​ License Applications, make recommendations to the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board.
Neighborhoods     Provides resources and liaison for neighborhood leaders.
Performance Measures Performance data arranged in scorecards to show community status and City efforts to meet long-term goals.
Proclamations Work with individuals and agencies to acknowledge important occasions, significant accomplishments and special people.
Sister Cities Represent the City on the Sister Cities Advisory Board and coordinate the exchange of staff with Bellingham’s seven sister cities.
Waterfront Redevelopment  Oversee waterfront redevelopment partnership with the Port of Bellingham and coordinate waterfront redevelopment work City-wide.
