Mission Statement
Land development affects people’s everyday lives profoundly, so much so that it can cause otherwise unengaged citizens to become involved. I view the public land use hearings as an important interface between citizens and local governments. In hearings my mission is to: establish a complete record; conduct a procedurally sound hearing in a welcoming environment; allow applicants, appellants, staff, and members of the public to be heard to the full extent permitted by code; and issue timely land use decisions that are consistent with the City Code and applicable state law. ~ Sharon A.
