Block Party Trailer

This colorful, portable trailer stocked with everything needed to host a block party in your neighborhood is available for any Bellingham resident to reserve at no cost. It must be used for a neighborhood block party, which means everyone within some geographic area (you define your neighborhood) must be invited.

The Block Party Trailer will be returning again for Summer 2024! The reservation window is the first weekend in June through the last weekend in August, 2024. Staff will begin receiving applications February 7, 2024, until each weekend is full. Reservations are accepted on a first come, first served basis.

Reservations for the block party trailer are on a first come, first served basis. The Reservation Application AND Special Event Permit must be requested at least 30 days prior to the event date.

In order to place a reservation, you must:

  1. Submit a Block Party Trailer Reservation Application to the Parks and Recreation Department.
  2. Once your reservation weekend has been confirmed, you must obtain a Special Event Permit from the Permit Center.

If you reserve the trailer, it is yours for the weekend. City staff will coordinate drop off at the requested location on Friday afternoon and pick it back up on Monday morning.
