Fairhaven Parking

Seth Fleetwood invited citizen input for creative, thoughtful and realistic ideas for solving the parking problem in Fairhaven. He noted that it is nearly impossible to find parking after 11:00 on most days of the summer. He asked the people present and viewing audience to contact him or Michael Lilliquist with their comments. Mr. Weiss noted that there is high frequency bus lines to Fairhaven and has one of the lowest ridership rates. He suggested there should be a park and ride location with promotion of the “Go Line”


Waterfront Development

Mr. Weiss requested the City plant street trees now to grow for the landscape plan so the City will not have to buy mature trees at the time they would go in. He proposed that some fund be put in the next budget to pay for it. Mayor Pike explained there is a growing facility already off of Squalicum Parkway. Council agreed by unanimous consent.

At 2:24 PM Council President Stan Snapp adjourned the meeting to Executive Session to hear the following items:

At 3:15 PM Mr. Snapp extended the session to 3:55 PM.
