Rental Registration Workplan process

Michael Lilliquist noted that there seemed to be confusion as to whether this topic was considered to be in the City Staff workplan or just the Council Committee workplan. Terry Bornemann stated his understanding that this matter had not come to the full Council for approval onto a workplan and thus is currently a committee discussion only. Jack Weiss recounted the history of the issue since a proposed plan was voted down in 2011. The matter was assigned to the Planning Committee in January. He noted the Mayor has indicated her support for addressing the issues. She has attended the Committee Meetings and volunteered to bring back some alternatives, enforcement issues and budget considerations over the summer. Mr. Bornemann requested the Planning Committee make a report to the full Council when the Mayor can be present. Cathy Lehman requested that if the Committee intends to add this matter to staff's workplan this year, the Committee Members should make a recommendation as to what would come off of staff's workplan for this year to make room for it.

At 2:03 PM Council President Fleetwood adjourned the meeting to Executive Session to hear the following:

1. Potential Property Acquisition - (Marriner – Approx. 10 min.)

2. Potential Litigation - (Ruffatto – Approx. 10 min.)

3. Litigation: West Cordata Green Hearing Examiner Appeals - (Name – Approx. 10 min.)

ADJOURNMENT
