4.04 Chief Administrative Assistant Qualifications And Appointment

The Mayor, with the approval of the Council, may appoint a Chief Administrative Assistant who shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and shall perform such administrative duties as may be specified by the Mayor. The Chief Administrative Assistant need not be a resident at the time of appointment. The appointment of any person to the position of Chief Administrative Assistant shall be based solely on the basis of the person's qualifications as an administrator, with particular emphasis on educational background, training, and experience as a professional municipal administrator.
