Addition of project for Policy Analyst

JW/ML MOVED TO RECOMMEND DIRECTING MARK GARDNER AS POLICY ANALYST TO RESEARCH AND REPORT TO COUNCIL POLICY OPTIONS REGARDING:

1. ADAPTED REUSE STANDARDS FOR NEW LARGE RETAIL ESTABLISHMENTS (OVER 60,000 S.F.)
2. GREEN FACTOR STANDARDS FOR NEW LARGE RETAIL ESTABLISHMENTS.
3. MODIFICATIONS TO THE TIMING OF PAYMENT OF IMPACT FEES AS A BUILDER INCENTIVE.
4. MODIFICATIONS TO SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT CHARGES TO ALLOW FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING EXEMPTIONS.

Terry Bornemann raised a concern that the new project should not interfere with the work of any projects assigned at the Council’s recent retreat. Mr. Gardner assured Council that he could fit the new project into his workload without impacting his ability to complete the other work. President Knutson directed the vote to be taken in the evening after further discussion.

The meeting was adjourned to Executive Session at 2:37 PM to hear the following items:
