5. Approval of City Council Committee and/or Special Meeting minutes
The minutes of the November 15, 2011 Special Meeting of the Waterfront Committee were submitted for approval. GK/TB MOVED APPROVAL. The motion carried 4-0.
The minutes of the December 12, 2011 Committee Meetings were submitted for approval. TB/GK MOVED APPROVAL. The motion carried 6-0-1. Cathy Lehman abstained.
6. Old/New business
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
Terry Bornemann reported that the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day celebration will be held at noon, Monday, January 16 at the Bellingham Municipal Court. There are many excellent speakers lined up including our new Mayor, Kelli Linville, and new Council Member, Cathy Lehman. The Kulshan Chorus will perform. He invited everyone to attend.
At 1:30 PM Mr. Snapp adjourned the meeting to Executive Session to hear the following items:
1. Litigation: AT&T Mobility Tax refund claim -
(Ruffatto – Approx. 10 min.)
2. Litigation: Hofstetter v. City of Bellingham -
(Brady - Approx. 10 min)
The meeting was called back to order and adjourned at 1:51 PM
