    KNUTSON / WEISS moved approval of the January 27, 2014 minutes of the regular City Council meeting as submitted. MOTION CARRIED 7-0.
              6. Old/New Business
      The Council Retreat may be rescheduled.

      Scheduling of Transportation Benefit District Meetings will, if possible, be scheduled adjacent to City Council Committee meetings.

      Council President Lehman noted that the Council supports a joint letter of the Mayor and City Council in support of Aquatic Invasive Species legislation at the State Legislature.

      Council Member Weiss praised the work of the Birchwood Neighborhood in their efforts to work with the Opportunity Council and Hope House, in a positive way, for the homeless population in their neighborhood.

      Council Member Knutson asked if the council would support a resolution, as proposed by Laine Wheatley on January 27th dealing with Veterans and the effects of Agent Orange. The Council directed staff to prepare a resolution for their consideration.

      • Mayor Linville reported that a letter of interest is being sent with regard to participating in the Georgetown University Energy Prize.
      • Mayor Linville reported that based on the request from Council Member Lilliquist during committee, staff will begin a review of the current Solid Waste Contract.
      • Interim Fire Chief, Bill Newbold, gave a brief report on the fire at Reid Boilerworks.
