TB/SS MOVED TO LIMIT THE NUMBER OF COMMITTEE MEMBERS TO THREE (3) COUNCIL MEMBERS. The motion carried 6-1. JW opposed.

SF/ML MOVED TO ELIMINATE THE REQUIREMENT FOR A SECOND ON A MOTION DURING COMMITTEE SESSIONS AND TO MAINTAIN THAT REQUIREMENT FOR REGULAR MEETINGS. The motion carried 7-0.

SF/ML MOVED TO ESTABLISH THE PUBLIC WORKS/PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE START TIME TO BE 9:00 AM, AND THE PLANNING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT START TIME TO BE 10:30 AM ON SCHEDULED COUNCIL MEETING DATES. The motion carried 7-0.

ML/GK MOVED TO AFFIRM THAT ALL COMMITTEE MEETINGS WILL BE LIVE BROADCAST, IF POSSIBLE, AND FOR STAFF TO CONTINUE TO WORK WITH THE COUNCIL THROUGH THE AD HOC GROUP TO EXPLORE OPTIONS FOR LOCATIONS FOR COMMITTEE SESSIONS MAKING SURE THAT THE MEETINGS ARE ACCESSIBLE TO THE PUBLIC. The motion carried 7-0.

JW/SS MOVED TO ELIMINATE THE WATERFRONT/DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE AND TO HAVE WATERFRONT ISSUES HEARD BY THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE. The motion failed 3-4. GK, SS, TB & CL opposed.

SS/GK MOVED TO ELIMINATE THE TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE AND MOVE TRANSPORATION ISSUES TO THE PUBLIC WORKS/PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE. The motion carried 6-1. JW opposed.

SF/JW MOVED TO REDIRECT WATERFRONT ISSUES TO COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE AND ESTABLISH A DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE. The motion failed 3-4. SS, CL, TB & GK opposed.
