Ski to Sea Car Show

Gene Knutson reported that the car show at Boulevard Park was successful and that being a judge was fun. Stan Snapp agreed and challenged Council Member Knutson to judge the convertibles next time and he would be happy to judge the really old cars.

Gateway Pacific Project EIS

Terry Bornemann stated that he has spoken with Mayor Linville and asked the legal staff draft a Resolution requesting that all the negative financial and environmental impacts to the City of Bellingham from the project be included in the EIS. The Resolution will incorporate the concerns and requests made in the letter to the County officials.

Infill Toolkit Program

Jack Weiss related that during the Planning Committee Retreat of May 4th, there was discussion with the Planning staff of the Infill Toolkit. Planning has a review of the infill toolkit and how it is working on its workplan and will make a report to Council when that is done. There was interest in assigning the Policy Analyst to work with Planning Staff to research and assist in developing the report.

JW/GK MOVED TO DIRECT THE POLICY ANALYST TO RESEARCH THE INFILL TOOLKIT AND ASSIST PLANNING DEPARTMENT STAFF IN DEVELOPING A REPORT FOR COUNCIL.
The motion carried 7-0.


At 3:47 PM Council President Bornemann adjourned the meeting to Executive Session to hear the following:

At 4:13 PM, Council President Bornemann announce the Executive Session would be extended to 4:20 PM.
