The Leisure Guide provides a complete listing of all of the recreation activities that we offer, as well as those offered by other agencies in the area. The Activity Guide shows just Bellingham Parks & Recreation Department offerings, and informational updates. Registration for most of our program offerings is available online by using the EZ Reg service. You may also mail, call, or walk-in registrations (click Help for details). We offer a wide variety of recreation activities in the following areas:
People of all ages are invited to participate in a variety of Community Events throughout the year including concerts, festivals, races and more!
Bring the whole family out to participate in such things as play times, hikes, movie nights, dog shows, trips and other community special events.
The Specialized Recreation program provides opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Services include classes, trips and special events as well as inclusion support for participation in any program offered by Bellingham Parks and Recreation.
For the younger crowd, activities include storytelling, arts & crafts, carnivals, concerts, outdoor adventures, toddler time, kindergym, and the ongoing Preschool Program.
Ages 5-14 years can enjoy classes such as cooking, arts & crafts and drama. Also available are day trips, summer and school break camps and special events.
A variety of sports activities are offered for adults and youth including leagues, running events, camps and clinics.
Arne Hanna Aquatic Center provides many different programs to meet the needs of everyone. The programs include swim teams, water aerobics, water walking and running, swim lessons, preschool and family swims, open and lap swims, and scuba and kayaking lessons. Also available are lifeguard training and instructor training courses, as well as adapted aquatics for people with disabilities. The Center can also be rented out to patrons for private usage.
