Transportation Improvement Program

Cornwall Avenue TIP Project

Every year by July 1, State law (RCW 35.77.010) requires cities to submit a Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) showing the sources and amount of funding for transportation improvement projects planned for the upcoming six year period. Projects included on a TIP represent the City’s intent to fund and construct transportation projects and both State and federal agencies require projects to be included on a TIP in order to be eligible for grant funding. Bellingham strives to construct multimodal transportation facilities and the 6-Year TIP includes sidewalks, bicycle lanes, arterial streets, intersection improvements, traffic signals, and roundabouts.
