Guide Meridian - Kelly - Kline Annexation Map

The Meridian/Kline/Kelly Annexation area is approximately 169 acres in size and located in the City's Northern Urban Growth Area. The area is adjacent to Bellingham City Limits and shares a common boundary with the Cordata Neighborhood to the west and the Meridian Neighborhood to the south.

Annexation Status

City staff requested the petitioner's prepare an utility study and address necessary waterline upgrades. This information is still pending submittal to the City.

Annexation Process

May 14, 2010: A Notice of Intention to Annex was approved by the Boundary Review Board.

July 16, 2009: A Certificate of Sufficiency was issued by the Whatcom County Assessor's office.

July 8, 2009: The 75% annexation petition was submitted to the City.

August 11, 2008: Bellingham City Council initiated the annexation proposal.

July 25, 2008: The required 10% annexation petition was submitted to the City.
