Small & Simple Grant Program

Small and Simple "Healthy Neighborhoods Initiative" funding is available for recognized Bellingham neighborhood associations to organize and lead partnerships that build community engagement through healthy activities, connecting neighborhoods to school, business and non-profit partners, and plan for or make physical changes to neighborhood spaces. Project awards in this category range from $1,000 - $2,500.

Small and Simple "Community Event Sponsorship" funds are available to businesses or non-profit organizations for events or activities that demonstrate a citywide benefit and encourage community engagement. Project awards in this category range from $1,000- $2,000.

Neighborhood Initiatives Program

A capital facilities development program targeting lower-income neighborhoods, this grant program was designed to help larger projects such as neighborhood parks and trails.  Although this program is not currently funded, several projects are still underway.  For more information and details on this program, click here.
