
On December 12, 2011 the Bellingham City Council voted 7-0 to approve the Sehome Neighborhood Plan update which includes updated text, new goals and policies, and corresponding BMC zoning table amendments.
July 14, 2011 - The Bellingham Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider the proposal and forwarded a recommendation of approval to the City Council.
June, 2001 - The SEPA 14-day public comment period took place
May, 2011 - The draft Sehome Neighborhood Plan updates were made available for review and comment. Charles Dyer, Sehome Neighborhood Association President, presented the updates to the Neighborhood Association at their meeting Tuesday - May 24, 2011. The plan received a positive response, with a vote of 28 in support and 3 abstaining.
April, 2011 - Staff worked with a committee of the Sehome Neighborhood Association to create a DRAFT Sehome Neighborhood Plan and related DRAFT Zoning Table. These documents were presented by Planning and Community Development Staff and the Sehome Neighborhood Association at a public meeting.
February 7, 2011 - The City Council held a work session to further consider which Comprehensive Plan Amendments will become part of the 2011 docket, and approved the inclusion of this proposal in the Planning Department's 2011 work program through Resolution 2011-03.
November 2010 - Staff was assigned to the project.
The Sehome Neighborhood Association submitted their Letter of Intent by the deadline of December 1, 2007.
