Planning Academy II - Green Bellingham: Achieving Infill, Enhancing Character

The second city-hosted Planning Academy, titled Green Bellingham - Achieving Infill, Enhancing Character, is scheduled for April 30th, May 7th, May 21st and May 28th at 1320 Cornwall Avenue (former Kendrick's Billiards), from 6-9 p.m.  The purpose of this series is to engage community members in creating a "toolbox" of alternative housing types that may be integrated into appropriate areas of existing and new neighborhoods.  All available course materials will be posted on this website, and all workshops are being filmed and shown on BTV10.

True Urbanism: Living In and Near the Center by Mark Hinshaw, (2007).  A copy of this book will be handed out at Workshop I to each participant. It can be also obtained by clicking through the American Planning Association.

Code and Character Task Force

The Code and Character Taskforce, comprised of citizens representing many different stakeholder groups, met a total of four times to discuss the components necessary to make Planning Academy II a success.
