Under the Growth Management Act, cities may only make amendments to the comprehensive plan, or the neighborhood plans, once a year. Property owners may submit requests for changes to the zoning of their property (site-specific), and neighborhoods or citizens may request changes as well.
Nine property owners submitted requests to rezone or modify language in Neighborhood Plans. These proposals were reviewed by the City Council on March 12 to determine which, if any, should be included in the 2007 review process per BMC 21.10.150. Only the neighborhood plan amendment/rezone in the Puget Neighborhood will be considered this year as it qualifies for review under the provision of the BMC which allows automatic docketing of requests in neighborhoods with updated plans. See below for details of this request.
