The proposed E. Bakerview/ James Street Annexation includes 635
acres. The area is adjacent to Bellingham city limits in the Northern Urban
Growth Area and shares a common boundary with the Mount Baker Neighborhood
on the east and south and with the Meridian Neighborhood on the west.
Bellingham’s Urban Growth Area boundary forms the northern annexation
boundary. East Bakerview Road extends from the city limits on the west
through the site to the city limits on the east, generally dividing the
annexation area into two sub-areas, one north of East Bakerview Road which

city limits on the south to its terminus at the top of King Mountain.
Kellogg Road and Telegraph Road extend from the city limits on the west and
connect with James Street.
As of the latest census, the area had 778 residents.
