The original zoning coverage data was digitized from the Planning and Community Development Department's mylar neighborhood basemaps at scales ranging from 1:2400 to 1:8400. Having been created in AutoCAD, the data was converted to ArcInfo in 1995 and updated periodically by Public Works GIS staff through 1997. In 1998, PCDD GIS staff re-created and updated the entire coverage in ArcInfo using the Street and Parcel coverages as a framework for the zoning boundaries.
