Transportation Data contains data that comprises the City's transportation system. These layer files include railroads, sidewalks, trails, wheelchair ramps, WTA bus routes and bus stops, parking stalls, parking meters, bike racks, alleys, driveways, platted streets and travelled ways. The data has been symbolized and color coded with mapping standards used by the City.
Interstate 5

Description: This layer depicts a polyline feature
class of Interstate 5 found within Whatcom County.
Symbology: Interstate 5 is symbolized as a
single symbol. The symbol is a two-toned pink line.
Labels: Labels are set to be an interstate shield.

Trails

Description: This layer depicts a polyline feature
class of trails found within and around the City Limits.
Symbology: Trails are displayed based on the "TYPE"
field. Trails are represented as one of three green line symbols
depending on the type. This layer will only be displayed at a scale
of 1:48000 or less.
Labels: Labels are set to display based on an
expression. The expression calls out the trail name and is depicted
as dark green text with a light green halo. By default, the "Label
Features" option is deselected so they will be off when you bring
them into your project. When the "Label Features" option is
selected, labels will only be displayed at a scale of 1:4799 or
less.

Wheelchair Ramps

Description: This layer depicts a point feature
class of wheelchair ramps found within and around the City Limits.
Symbology: Wheelchair ramps are displayed based on
the "RotationAngle" field. Wheelchair ramps are represented as a
gray arrowhead with a white halo. The arrowhead symbol points in a
direction based on the angle from the "RotationAngle" field. The
angle represents the path in which pedestrians are released from the
ramp onto the road surface.
