This numbering convention is used to number the quarter sections of the City of Bellingham based on Township, Range, Section and Quarter sections.
The City of Bellingham falls into a portion of two different Townships and two different Ranges
The City's numbering convention assumes the "3" for the Township number so each of our quarter section numbers begins with either a 7 or 8 (dropping the "3"). The Township number is then combined with the Range number (2 or 3) and then the section number. The last part of the number in the sequence refers to the quarter section itself: NE, SE, SW or NW.
EXAMPLE: 8321SE = Township 38, Range 03, Section 21, SE quarter section.
