The purpose of the Railroads data is to show the location of rail lines within the geographic vicinity of the City of Bellingham.
Main rail through lines, spurs, and sidings were originally digitized from 1988 orthophotography by Walker and Associates, Seattle, WA. Subsequent updates and improvements in the spatial quality of the linework have been performed by City of Bellingham GIS staff utilizing more current, and spatially accurate orthophotography.
