Friendly Gardening This attractive brochure describes how your gardening practices can help salmon. Inside is a comprehensive list of native plants that are salmon friendly. The back panel is a list of local resources for plants, compost, pest information, stream restoration volunteer opportunities, toxics information and disposal, salmon recovery efforts, and plant publications. Sense: A Guide to Streamside EtiquetteThis guide gives an overview of our urban streams and their inhabitants, including Pacific Northwest Salmon. It also includes valuable information on how individual actions can and do affect water quality. Stream Sense suggests ways each of us can do our part to protect and preserve the health of our streams.
Hounds for Healthy Watersheds
You and your dog can be a part of keeping our watershed healthy. This
brochure provides information on ways to reduce pet damage to our
watersheds, the connection between dog waste and fecal coliform in our
waterways and provides a map and regulations for where dogs can play
on-leash or off-leash in our city parks.
