Benefits Administer and coordinate benefits including health, paid leave, and retirement programs; COBRA, HIPPA, Workers’ Compensation and LEOFF I Pension.
Civil Service Support Administrative support for the Civil Service Commission, which oversees the classification system for public safety positions as well as other City positions.
Classification and Compensation Job analysis, classification, job description development and tracking, and market studies.
Employee Safety Administration and coordination of City employee safety program.
Employee Training Robust employee training program and related services to City departments.
Human Resources Consultant Services Consultant services to City departments, including employee relations assistance, alternative dispute resolution, legal compliance services, workforce planning, and performance management.
Labor Relations Labor contract negotiations services, day-to-day contract administration, and related services to City departments.
New Employee Orientation Information for prospective and new City employees.
Payroll Administer and process payroll for the City in coordination with all City departments; prepare required reports to State and Federal agencies; manage Department of Retirement Systems pension enrollment.
