Sister Cities Advisory Board

Purpose

The Sister Cities Advisory Board advises the Mayor and all involved city departments concerning the establishment and maintenance of sister city relationships between the City of Bellingham and cities of other countries. The Board's responsibilities shall include:

Time Requirements

Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Human Resources Training Room, second floor, City Hall, Bellingham. Meetings generally last approximately one and one-half hours. Time requirements outside the meetings may vary, depending on activities such as staff exchanges, Ski to Sea, cultural exchanges, anniversaries, etc. The board does not meet in July, August or December.

Membership

The Board consists of no more than twelve members, appointed by the Mayor. The term of office is three years. No compensation is paid to members of this Board.
