| Communications | Coordinate City-wide news, public information and public involvement. |
| Government Relations | Establish and maintain relations with local, state and federal officials and agencies. |
| Liquor Licenses | Coordinate City review of Liquor License Applications, make recommendations to state Liquor Control Board. |
| Neighborhood Services | Coordinate neighborhood services City-wide, provides resources and liaison for neighborhood leaders. |
| Proclamations | Work with individuals and agencies to acknowledge important occasions, significant accomplishments and special people. |
| Sister Cities | Represent the City on the Sister Cities Advisory Board and coordinate the exchange of staff with Bellingham’s four sister cities. |
| Waterfront Redevelopment | Oversee waterfront redevelopment partnership with the Port of Bellingham and coordinate waterfront redevelopment work City-wide. |
