This project involves construction of a multimodal roundabout at the
intersection of Northwest Avenue and McLeod Road to add bicycle and
pedestrian safety as well as accommodate motor vehicle traffic circulation.
This is part of the Safe Routes to School project that will teach students
to use the intersection to cross Northwest when walking to Birchwood
Elementary or Shuksan Middle schools.
The project includes curb, gutter and sidewalk on the north side of McLeod Road between Northwest and West Rusley Drive.
Accomplishments: Right-of-way Administrative Offer Summary (AOS) submitted to WSDOT for approval. Reviewed and commented on environmental documents. Met with new project manager for consultant.
Next Milestones: Receive 90 percent plans and submit for permits.
