The
City began working with Bellis Fair Mall management in 2010 and adopted this
multimodal arterial project. Bellis Fair Mall will dedicate 60-feet of
right-of-way for a public street through the northwestern parking lot and
the City will construct a new Eliza Avenue public collector arterial street,
ADA-accessible sidewalk, crosswalks, and bicycle lane connection from Bellis
Fair Pkwy to West Bakerview Road. The end result will be a complete
multimodal arterial street connection on the northwest side of the Mall
leading to a traffic signal at Eliza / W. Bakerview, benefiting regional
traffic circulation and the citywide transportation network.
Accomplishments: Design finalized.
Next Milestones: Complete right-of-way acquisition. Put out to bid
