This is a cooperative project where Puget Sound Energy (PSE) rebuilds 4kv
electric distribution as 12.47kv underground system and the City of
Bellingham provides trenching and alley restoration. Three alleys are
included in the overall plan. The first phase is between Cornwall Avenue
and Railroad Avenue, from Maple Street to Holly Street. The second phase
will continue on to Champion Street. This
project will help beautify downtown and provide increased safety by
undergrounding the overhead power lines.
Accomplishments:
Final asphalt restoration north of Champion taking place 10/27/11. Project
substantially complete.

Close out project.
