0443The 2011 Annual Overlay Program aims to maintain existing streets to protect the initial investment in the street and to ensure an adequate quality driving surface for mobility and public safety. Work includes pavement repair, leveling of the pavement surface, and resurfacing with hot mix asphalt on a wide array of streets. In addition, existing handicap ramps, pedestrian crossings and drainage will be updated for compliance with current standards. Bike lanes will be added to the Birchwood Avenue and Lakeway Drive segments.
The 2011 funding includes about $500,000 from the Transportation Benefit District as well as street funds.
Accomplishments: Project substantially complete. Final inspection held on 10/21/11.
