0433The 2010 Annual Overlay Program aims to maintain existing streets to protect the initial investment in the street and to ensure an adequate quality driving surface for mobility and public safety. Work includes pavement repair, leveling of the pavement surface, and resurfacing with hot mix asphalt on a wide array of streets including the completion of N. Forest Street improvements started last year. In addition, existing handicap ramps, pedestrian crossings and drainage will be updated for compliance with current standards. Missing sidewalk links within the Civic Field complex will be completed, complementing the recently completed Fraser Street pedestrian improvements.
Accomplishments: Project substantially complete. Final inspection held 10/14/10.
