Northwest Avenue Pedestrian Improvements

Project Overview: ES-0315

This project will provide pedestrian and bicycle facilities on Northwest between McLeod and Bakerview Roads to improve pedestrian and bicycle safety and channelization in the area.

Status - July 2010

Accomplishments: Completed installation of retaining wall, street lighting and curb, gutter and sidewalk. excavation. Two-week closure of I-5 on-ramp followed by a two-week closure of Northwest Avenue allowed roundabout grading and installation. Completed new paving and overlay sections.

Next Milestones: Complete street markings, landscape and restoration. Hold final inspection.
