The project involves the installation of a prefabricated restroom building and the renovation of an existing playground in Whatcom Falls Park. The prefabricated restroom building will be made from durable concrete, will be resistant to vandalism, easy to maintain and will provide the public with necessary and universally accessible restrooms. The playground renovation includes the demolition of existing worn out playground equipment and the construction of a new playground. This project is part of the Parks and Recreation Department's on-going program of providing fun, imaginative, physically challenging and universally accessible play opportunities for preschool aged children. The playground equipment will also comply with current and adopted public playground safety standards.
