The track at Civic Stadium is utilized for a variety of uses by Sehome, Bellingham and Squalicum High Schools and Western Washington University. The track is also used by the general public, for Parks Department track meets, police training and for various other Park program uses. The track at Civic Stadium was last resurfaced in the year 2000. The existing surfacing of the track has been in use beyond its design life and was in need of repair. This project included resurfacing and re-striping the running track and pole vault areas.
