Boulevard Park Pattle Point Renovations

Description

Bellingham Parks & Recreation is working with Reid Middleton, an engineering consulting and planning firm with extensive waterfront experience, to complete design and permitting for renovating the existing wood trestle just south of Boulevard Park.

Renovations include widening and replacing the walkway, replacing the wood railing & walking surface, and replacing the walkway abutment foundations.

During construction, the entire trestle will be closed and there will be no trail access to Taylor Dock from Boulevard Park.

Funding

Greenway Levy III - Heritage Park Improvements - Development - Boulevard Park Trestle & Beach Improvements:  $1.5M

Status

Permits were submitted July 2009.  Construction is planned for Fall 2009.
