2009 Human Resources Department Goals
- Human Resources will support all City departments and operations by
working to attract, motivate and retain employees to serve business and
citizens' needs. Maintaining the safety of our workplace, offering
challenging and rewarding tasks along with the opportunity to give back
to the community are all factors in accomplishing this goal.
- Human Resources will maintain the collaborative labor relationships
to which it has been committed over the years, while striving to meet
our goals of financial sustainability now and into the future.
- Implementing on-going phases of the new HR/Payroll computer system
(HRIS) continues to be a top departmental goal. Among components
targeted for this year are management reporting and employee
self-service, which will result in business process improvements.
- Human Resources staff will continue to seek efficiencies in routine
workflow to allow for enhanced service delivery to departments and
citizens.
