Do you have time and talent to share with the community? Want to help shape Bellingham, today and in the future? You can do both by volunteering to serve on a City of Bellingham advisory group.
Volunteer boards, commissions, committees, and task forces serve our community by advising decision makers and providing essential support to city programs and activities. We need your time and expertise!
Opportunities to help are available in many areas, from advising on historic preservation, public art and land use to planning for streets, parks, libraries and other public facilities. Many of these groups are established by the City Charter or a city ordinance, with members appointed by the Mayor, sometimes requiring City Council approval. Most are advisory to the Mayor and/or City Council.
Start today by reviewing the list of vacant advisory group positions, posted online and updated monthly. More information about each group, application materials and other key information also is posted online. If you have any questions, contact the Mayor's Office.
