City launches refreshed and enhanced version of Bellingham Municipal Code

The time of looking in musty old legal books is a thing of the past.  A new and improved version of the City of Bellingham's Municipal Code (BMC) is now available on the City's website through Code Publishing Company. 

Code Publishing hosts the rules and regulations for hundreds of cities across the country in an online library.  They have worked through a contract with the City to clean up all 21 sections of the BMC, and will maintain printed versions as well.

The new version offers many improvements, including:

The new BMC replaces a 20-year-old database version that was also available online.  The new location offers enhanced usability that will be greatly appreciated by citizens and staff, and became the official recodification 15 days after the Bellingham City Council took formal action on the changes on March 25.
