Application deadline for sculpture exhibit Feb. 18

Natura by Charles J. Armstrong

The application deadline is rapidly approaching for artists who wish their work to be considered for the Big Rock Garden Park annual sculpture show.

Deadline for applications is Feb. 18, 2011. Selection decisions will be announced at the end of March, with the exhibit running May 8 – Sept. 30, 2011. Successful applicants’ work is displayed among the permanent collection of sculpture, some by International artists.

Each submission package should include at least four available pieces for review and possible placement in the show. Works may be a single item or a grouping, and all works must be for sale. No e-mail submissions will be accepted.

Applications are professionally juried, considering each submission for quality of expression, craftsmanship, appearance, maintenance, safety and security. Up to four artists will be selected to participate.

Big Rock Garden Park is a beautiful 2.5 acre botanical garden located in Bellingham, Washington, between Seattle and Vancouver, BC. Featured in numerous Pacific Northwest guidebooks, the Big Rock Garden Park consistently draws visitors from around the world. The park’s mission is to inspire an appreciation of the arts and natural environment by showcasing high-quality outdoor sculpture and offering engaging programming in a unique Pacific Northwest setting.
