Mayor Tim Douglas announced this week the recipients of the 2007
Mayor's Arts Awards. A reception honoring the recipients is scheduled
for 6:30 p.m. April 19, followed by an awards ceremony at 7 p.m., in the
Rotunda Room at the Whatcom Museum of History and Art.
The Mayor's Arts Awards honor Bellingham citizens who have significantly
contributed to the arts in our community. Those receiving awards
represent a wide variety of visual, performing and cultural art endeavors by
talented and dedicated community members.
Bellingham Mayor Tim Douglas said the artists recognized with these awards
represent a rich variety of visual, performing and cultural works.
"Bellingham is fortunate to have a vibrant, diverse arts community that
provides an outstanding pool of talent for these special awards," he said.
